The Event
SENDI, the Electrical Energy Distribution National Seminar (Seminário Nacional De Distribuição de Energia Eléctrica), is the main electrical power distribution event in Latin America.
The 61st edition took place in Vitória (Espírito Santo), November 7-10, and was the occasion to deepen topics related to changes in digitalization, decarbonization, and decentralization.
The Booth
Gridspertise was a Silver Sponsor at SENDI. We exposed some of our cutting-edge solutions in the booth number 15.
End-to-End Metering Solutions
Brazil has also been target to the most recent deployment of Gridspertise’s latest generation of smart meters, locally produced, in the city of São Paulo with the aim to increase the resilience of the grid, by providing real-time monitoring of electricity use, advanced management of the technical parameters of the grid, detecting blackouts or other critical events in near-real time. Enel São Paulo, our long-lasting client, recently reached a very important milestone: 500 thousand smart meters installed. This achievement makes them one of the largest companies in smart metering deployment in the entire Country.
At SENDI 2023, we presented our local and most innovative end-to-end metering solutions.
The Quantum Edge® device
Our all-in-one solution, the Quantum Edge® Device, allows DSOs to perform critical grid functionalities directly on the edge. The automation functions' virtualization consistently decreases the equipment necessary in secondary substations, stabilizes the grid, and manages DER generation. The QEd has now been tested in five countries worldwide including Colombia.

The Conference
At SENDI, we sponsored a panel dedicated to The Digital Distributor and its key role in the energy transition and customer relationship and its main topic was the role played by distributors in the energy transition based on the first result achieved in Brazil: the deployment of 500,000 Jobi in São Paulo.
