Aidon FMD
Aidon Feeder Line Measurement Device (FMD) provides load measurements and other electrical parameters from each low voltage feeder line connected to the transformer station. FMD connected to the Aidon’s CT meter makes it a complete solution for monitoring of distribution transformer stations and the low voltage network.
Overview
The Aidon FMD is designed for detailed monitoring of low-voltage feeder lines. Its modular design allows easy installation and scalability. The accurate 4-quadrant energy measurements and timestamped load profiles ensure reliable and efficient low-voltage grid management.
Features
Aidon FMD provides a comprehensive and detailed visibility to the low-voltage grid on feeder line level. The FMD’s features include 4-quadrant phase-based and total energy measuring, timestamped load profiles and power grid management related measurements. These measurements are available per feeder line and are remotely configurable.
Thanks to its modular design, the FMD can be easily scaled to support the required number of feeder lines. The solution consists of two complementary products: the Aidon 7571 mains unit, with three integrated meters and a power supply, and the 7570 extension unit. Multiple units can be chained to support additional feeder lines as needed.
Optimised for retrofitting transformer stations without existing measurement capabilities, the FMD is quick and easy to install on feeder lines using current transformer clamps. It can be installed in both existing and new transformer stations by the DSO’s own personnel, making deployment simple and efficient.
