Sergio Martín Guerrero is Chief Digital Officer in Gridspertise. He is an executive with more than 20 years of management experience in the Technology & Digital industry, joining Gridspertise in 2023 with the ambition to deliver a leading suite of digital and data-driven solutions for the energy transition.
Sergio started his career in 1996 as R&D engineer for an electricity company in Spain. He then joined PwC Consulting, where he served utilities and telecom companies during the liberalization of both industries. After the acquisition of PwC Consulting by IBM, he led the development of strategic solutions for Energy & Utilities in Southern Europe, being at the forefront of the first Smart Metering and Smart Grid initiatives in the region. In 2007 he joined the Digital practice of McKinsey, where he served large corporations worldwide in their digitization journeys, mostly in Energy and Telecom industries. And, just before joining GridSpertise, Sergio was part of the Executive Committee of Minsait, leading the creation and growth of its digital offering and the transformation of its Software Business unit, Onesait.com.
He holds a Master’s Degree, Summa Cum Laude, in Industrial Engineering from Valladolid University, an Advanced Management Program by IESE Business School and a Program for Board Members at ESADE Business School. He also collaborates with IE Business School as Adjunct Professor of Strategy.
